About this ghee
Chaati is desi cow bilona ghee made the slow, traditional way by our family in Barnala, Punjab. Whole milk from our desi cows is set into curd overnight, churned by hand in a clay chaati with a wooden madhani, and the makhan is slow-cooked over a low flame until it turns golden and grainy.
Because it starts from curd, not cream, bilona ghee has a deeper aroma and a naturally grainy (daanedaar) texture. Use it on hot rotis and parathas, in dal tadka, halwa and laddoos.
Nothing is added — no preservatives, no colour, no flavour. Each jar is sealed with a tamper-evident band and wrapped in jute, ready to gift.

Bilona ghee has a deep, nutty aroma, so a little goes a long way.
On roti & paratha
Spread on a hot makki di roti or aloo paratha straight off the tawa.
Tadka for dal
Heat a spoon with jeera and hing and pour it over dal or khichdi.
Cooking & frying
